BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) –Raleigh County Commission has plans to offer human resources services to the county’s employees.

Raleigh County Commission faces multiple lawsuits, filed by county employees who allege that their civil rights were violated in their workplace.

The charges come from allegations of misconduct in the Raleigh County Circuit Clerk’s Office and Raleigh County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The president of Raleigh County Commission said there is a candidate for the HR position.

“With the recent things going on in the county, we felt like a human resource company would be a good step forward for our nearly 200 employees of Raleigh County,” President Duckworth said on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. “We opened that today, and we decide to table it until we had a chance to really get into the weeds.”
