TAZEWELL COUNTY, VA (WVNS) — A Virginia man was sentenced to 50 years in prison for crimes against children.

According to a press release, 21-year-old Dustin Allen Quesenberry, of Bandy, Virginia, was sentenced on September 19, 2024, to 50 years in in the Virginia Department of Corrections, and indefinite probation once he is released. His sentence was for two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child under the age of thirteen, and one count of rape of a child under thirteen years of age.

I am grateful for the outcome in this case because it gives the three innocent children abused by this predator the justice they deserve. I would like to thank all of the agencies involved with the investigation and prosecution of this case. I am especially grateful for the courage these children had to come forward and their resilience throughout the process.

The press release stated that Asbury showed evidence at the sentencing hearing, and argued for the maximum sentencing possible for crimes against children. Quesenberry gave character witness testimony, and argued for a lesser sentence.

The case was investigated by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Tazewell County Victim/Witness Assistance Program offered support during the investigation of the case.
