West Virginia absentee ballots

BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) — The countdown to the November 5th general election is underway.

Starting September 20th, county clerks across West Virginia will begin to mail absentee ballots to voters.

Under state law, county clerks are required to mail these ballots to voters that are registered who qualify for absentee voting. This includes individuals who are unable to make it to polling locations throughout the entirety of the early voting period or on Election Day.

The deadline for voter registration is October 15th . This date also applies to those who need a change of address or name change. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is October 30th.
