LEWISBURG, WV (WVNS) – October is nearly upon us and that means Halloween is right around the corner.

While most are getting candy and costumes finished, one local business is excited to be back in business.

Miller’s Nightmare Haunted Farm is back to bring the spooks and scares to people across southern West Virginia.

Located just outside of Lewisburg, the farm is excited to be celebrating its 10th anniversary. Originally starting out as a haunted corn maze, co-owner Ron Miller said his sons enjoyed it so much, they decided to open the haunted attraction that stands today.

They have added new sets and pieces over the years, including a brand new haunted chapel this year. They have also had many actors come through their doors and it is all about who takes the best ‘ownership’ in their scares.

“We do two weeks of scare school. They’ll come up for a night of scare school and we’ll do a couple nights of that and they just learn. We work with them and tell them what we want and some are great, some adapt beautifully and keep doing it. Others just find it not what they thought it was.”

The haunted farm opens officially this Friday and Saturday, September 27th and 28th, and admission is $20. They’re open every Friday and Saturday of October, with their final days on the 25th and 26th.
