    Statewide virtual job fair date announced by WorkForce West Virginia

    CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — WorkForce West Virginia announced a Statewide Virtual Job Fair date to kick off October.

    The virtual job fair will be on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is open to job seekers and employers.

    This October marks the second year that WorkForce West Virginia is proud to offer our monthly Statewide Virtual Job Fairs. We invite job seekers to join the more than 17,900 West Virginians who have registered to attend one of these convenient, virtual events and connect with employers all across the Mountain State.

    To participate in the Statewide Virtual Job Fair on September 4, 2024, employers and job seekers will need to register for the event.

    GEAR UP SWV is preparing students for their futures through National GEAR UP Week

    Attending the Statewide Virtual Job Fairs hosted by WorkForce West Virginia offers unparalleled convenience, allowing employers to seamlessly connect with job seekers. In the past two years, more than 3,000 West Virginia employers have taken advantage of this opportunity to connect with job seekers and receive more than 11,000 submitted resumes.

    Job seekers who attend the event are advised to have a clutter-free background and to dress professionally. The job fair portal will include a list of participating employers, channels for attendees to register and log in, and a Job Seeker Training video.

    First-generation student grant program announces award recipients

    Once employers register for the event for the first time, they will be able to create a “Virtual Booth” that will let them connect with job seekers. Once the booth is created, the booth will be available at following job fairs.
