Sunday evening starts off rather pleasantly with temps in the 70s under mostly sunny skies. Clouds will build in from the northwest after sunset as a cold front rushes in quickly. Arrival time of shower/storms will be close to midnight, helping to keep the risk for severe weather low tonight as its weakens, but a strong to severe storm up to our north and east can’t be ruled out with damaging winds and hail. Rain chances diminish quickly into Monday morning as overnight lows drop near 50.
Monday kicks off with a few clouds during the early morning hours but those won’t last long. Dry and cooler air will make its way in after our cold front crosses. The mountains will be the only ones to see some lingering clouds by lunchtime with the lowlands seeing sunshine. Temps will only be in the 60s as overnight lows drop near 40!
Tuesday continues to see our western high pressure build in across the region. This in turn will give us two things: a sunny Tuesday and a cool day on tap with highs in the 60s! The overnight will stay mostly clear and temps dropping into the 40s for the lowlands – isolated instances of frost across the mountains will be possible.
Wednesday completes the hat trick of three straight days of sunny skies to start the week. High pressure once again stays in control giving us mostly sunny skies and temps again back in the 60s. Expect another chilly night as overnight lows drop into the upper 30s!
Thursday brings in more sunshine as high pressure stays in control and temps will again try to push into the 60s during the afternoon – an easy day if you’re heading to work or school! Just don’t forget the jackets if you plan to go outside later that night with temps dropping into the 30s!
Friday looks fantastic for those wishing to end their week on a great note. Mostly sunny skies through the afternoon and evening, as temps rise into the 60s, which is perfect for those with evening plans. If you’re looking for one, high school football will be great though bring a jacket as overnight lows drop into the 40s.
Saturday is a fantastic start to the weekend with mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Temps will try to reach into the low to middle 70s as we enjoy a slightly warmer day than what we saw this past week. Overnight lows will continue to remain chilly as they drop into the 40s.
Sunday also looks great and a little warmer as well. After being in the 40s for the morning, we’ll warm back up into the 70s later in the afternoon. Should also be a mostly sunny day – a great way to end off the weekend.
In your extended forecast, another cold front will try to cross on Monday, bringing in the chance for isolated to scattered showers. Rain chances end Monday night before drier and cooler air arrives again. This will drop our temps again, going from the 70s during the weekend down into the 60/50s for much of the following week.
