    Post offices to be closed in West Virginia on October 14, 2024 for Columbus Day

    CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) — Post offices in the Mountain State will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2024 due to Columbus Day.

    According to a press release, on Monday, October 14, 2024, retail services at West Virginia post offices will be closed because of the Columbus Day holiday.

    Mail will not be delivered to Post Office Box or street addressed, with the only exception being Priority Mail Express.

    Service will continue as usual on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

    Those who will need postal services on Monday, October 14, 2024 will be able to use the Self-Service Kiosk that can be found at select post office locations.

    The Self-Service Kiosk (SSK) is an ATM-like kiosk that is only able to accept credit and debit cards, and is able to deal with around 80 percent of transactions, such as shipping packages or buying stamps, that normally take place at the retail counter.
