MountainHeart Community Services hosts annual fall bash

MATHENY, WV (WVNS) — Get ready for some autumn fun in Wyoming County! Over the past two days, the nonprofit organization – MountainHeart Community Services hosted their annual Fall Bash in Matheny.

The festivities welcomed more than 400 children and their families. Everyone was able to experience the ‘Halloween Fun House” where they were able to collect sweets and treats from staff members.

There was also an extra special addition to the event– children were sent home with a pumpkin.

Madena Lester from MountainHeart also shared some exciting news.

“And we just received our gold status of Excellence this year. So that’s a national status that we received and it’s something we’re really proud of,” said Lester.

With this year’s fall bash wrapped up, the community is already buzzing with excitement for future events.

The MountainHeart organization is continuing to play a vital role in bringing together families in the community.
