Chilly and clear overnight; more sunshine on the way

Saturday evening starts cool and comfy with temps in the 60s – careful to everyone heading home from Bridge Day activities. We’ll continue to drop into the 50s by midnight, dropping even more into the low 40s Sunday morning. It will be a clear night though with little wind, watch for overnight fog across our river valleys.
Sunday morning is a chilly start so pack a jacket if you plan to go to church early. Thankfully, it’s all sunshine through lunchtime as temps warm up into the upper 50s, low 60s. High pressure will continue to provide sunny skies into the afternoon timeframe as we end the weekend on a mild note in the low 70s.
Monday once again starts in the 40s for the morning commute but it won’t last long. As we develop a light southern breeze into the afternoon, temps will warm up quite extensively – middle 70s for the lowlands and middle 60s across the mountains. It’s also an easy start to the new week with Monday seeing mostly sunny skies.
Tuesday morning is again chilly in the middle 40s but nothing too extreme for this time of the year. A southerly breeze again will assist with temps as they climb into the middle 70s for the lowlands and upper 60s for the mountains. High pressure isn’t going anywhere as we maintain a dry and sunny look throughout the day.
Wednesday starts with a sunny morning so be mindful of the sun glares on the way to work. We’ll keep the sunshine around through the later half of the day as temps warm up into the middle 70s. As a cold front approaches to our west, we’ll bring in some extra cloud cover, becoming partly cloudy during the overnight timeframe.
Thursday drops down a cold front into the region. Unfortunately, for those hoping for rain, this will not be it. With a weaking system and subsequent dry air, the best places to see rain, if any, would be across the eastern mountains. The most notable change will be the temps as we only get into the low 60s for the lowlands and 50s for the mountains.
Friday brings in a new high pressure system with our cold front long passed. This system will keep the sunshine around throughout the day, but temps will be quite comfy as well as we only make it into the 60s. With clear skies and temps dropping into the 50s for the evening, high school football will look great!
Saturday looks like a stellar start to next weekend – temps will be near 70 for the lowlands and the mountains in the 60s. High pressure as well will keep the sunny skies throughout the day so enjoy!
In your extended forecast, we’ll have another system drop down by Sunday but again rain chances look nil at the point. If anything, most of everyone looks to stay dry into the following week as temps rise back into the low 70s.
