Halle Berry chose a tailored look for her “Good Morning America” appearance on Thursday. The actress joined host Robin Roberts to raise awareness about menopause with experts Dr. Jessica Shepherd and Dr. Pauline Maki.

Berry wore a charcoal gray tailored jumpsuit with a striped pattern. The ensemble featured a V-neck and sleeveless silhouette, as well as side flap pockets and wide-leg trousers.

Berry’s jumpsuit was from Alberta Ferretti’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which played with a contrast between male and female elements. “While Alberta Ferretti ’s feminine and dreamy chiffon gowns have become a signature, the designer is also a concrete and pragmatic woman, and her fall collection reflected this attitude with a number of beautiful tweed pantsuits and sophisticated tailored coats,” WWD previously reported.

The Oscar-winning actress has worn tailored outfits by Alberta Ferretti a couple of times before, including her gold suit at the 2023 Red Sea International Film Festival and a recent red power suit look, which she shared on her Instagram in June.

On “Good Morning America,” Berry, who turned 58 on Wednesday, advocated for women’s health and shared her experience with menopause. The actress said she became passionate about the subject after receiving a misdiagnosis of herpes while having the first symptoms of menopause. “I have one of the best doctors in all of California, and he didn’t really understand what this was. That made me realize there must be millions of women that don’t understand this,” she said.

“[Menopause] is not a disease. Don’t make it negative. Let’s talk about it, and let’s figure out what we can do. I want 35-year-olds to start thinking about, ‘Oh, that’s coming!’ and I want them to start understanding, through great doctors and great books that are on the market now, what they can do to sort of ease into this time of life in the best possible way, don’t be afraid of it. Be fearless about it,” she said.

Berry joined a group of bipartisan senators on Capitol Hill on May 2 to advocate for legislation that would allocate $275 million to research and education on menopause. The legislation mandates that the federal government increase funding for clinical trials focused on menopause and the hormone therapies used to alleviate hot flashes and other related symptoms.

“Whoever your senator is, reach out to your Senator, tell them, you demand healthcare for midlife women. You demand this act to be passed. You demand funds to be allocated just for menopause,” she said on “GMA.”
