LONDON Zara is on a celebrity fashion streak, tapping Kate Moss as its latest collaborator for a series of high-profile capsules and other projects.

The Zara x Kate Moss collection will launch on Nov. 30 and comprise ready-to-wear and accessories meant for big nights out. The collection has been styled by Katy England.

Moss said she wanted to create “the perfect party capsule — pieces that feel effortlessly chic, but with an edge.” She described the collection as a blend of “classic cuts, with just the right amount of glam, to take you through the party season.”

It’s been a while since Moss, who has an eponymous talent agency and a beauty brand called Cosmoss , has collaborated on a fashion collection.

From 2007 until 2010 she co-created and designed a fashion collection for Topshop that also sold through retailers including Collette in Paris, Corso Como in Milan and Barneys New York.

In 2014 Moss returned to Topshop for a one-off collection, and on the day it launched she appeared in the window of the retailer’s Oxford Circus flagship wearing a black and gold tuxedo suit. The event drew hordes of shoppers hoping to catch a glimpse of the model and household name.

Moss told WWD she decided to partner with Zara because she’s enjoyed working with the retailer on campaigns over the years.

“I have always loved their collaborations, so when Marta and I first talked about this project I was excited [about] getting to design clothes again and working with Katy England,” she said.

Moss was referring to Marta Ortega Pérez , the chair of Zara’s parent company Inditex , and the strategist behind a successful string of collaborations.

The Stefano Pilati collection landed on shop floors last week, and flew off the shelves. The collection’s campaign was shot by Steven Meisel, and shows Pilati modeling the menswear and Gisele Bündchen the womenswear.

The Italian designer and the Brazilian supermodel also appeared in the look book images by Stas Komarovski, which highlight the voluptuous tailoring and sensual drape of the clothes, some of which are selling on secondary sites for multiple times the original price.

Zara has also inked a multiyear apparel joint venture with designer Samuel Ross for his new fashion concept SR_A. Going forward, the joint venture will feature fashion installations and artists’ presentations online and in physical locations worldwide.

Ortega Pérez is a supporter of the greater fashion ecosystem, and has been keen to highlight designers and creators.

She is behind the new exhibition “Irving Penn: Centennial,” which will take place from Nov. 23 to May 1. Some 175 works by the photographer will go on display at the Marta Ortega Peréz Foundation in Inditex’s home city of A Coruña, Spain.

The foundation has already hosted exhibitions on Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel and Helmut Newton.
