Blake Lively brought one of fall’s hottest hues to the New York City Wine and Food Festival on Friday. The actress hosted an event sponsored by her alcohol brand, Betty Booze.
Lively sported a moss corded lace halter dress from Michael Kors’ spring 2025 collection, which debuted in September during New York Fashion Week. The “It Ends With Us” star added on a matching oversized cardigan, tortoiseshell statement earrings, a quilted Chanel flap bag and thigh-high Christian Louboutin boots.
Lively wore her blond tresses in waves, while her makeup consisted of beige eyeshadow, rosy blush and a pink lip.
Earlier this month, Lively stepped out for a double date with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Lively sported a full vintage look by Paola Frani, which included a maroon long-sleeved dress with crochet details and matching tights. She accessorized with matching lace-up Valentino boots and a tweed Chanel purse.
Reynolds, meanwhile, wore a white shirt jacket featuring an embroidered collar with navy trousers and brown suede ankle boots.
On the designer’s mood board were snapshots of romantic Mediterranean beaches, stills from Netflix’s “Ripley,” and 1990s black-and-white photos by Herb Ritts of sultry supermodels, all in his dark, earthy palette of black, ecru, hemp, peanut, cactus green, maritime and ice blue.
The retellings of “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” from the original Patricia Highsmith 1955 novel, to the Gwyneth Paltrow-Jude Law 1999 film, to the streaming version today, got Kors thinking about clashing the romance of the 1950s with the sensual streamlined simplicity of the 1990s, and today’s yearning for something joyful without it being a cheap thrill.
“Nothing is flat, everything has texture or dimension,” Kors added, pointing out brown slide sandals, bucket bags and floppy hats with playful fringes and a show-stopping black raffia “fur” jacket.
Emerald, chartreuse and olive tones are poised for popularity this season following Pantone’s Color Trend Report. At New York Fashion Week in February, leafy hues like Fern, Aventurine and Golden Palm as three of the most popular colors favored by designers.
