    Police say 13-year-old Detroit girl who disappeared after walking away from home has been recovered

    DETROIT (WWJ) Detroit Police say a teenage girl who was missing for more than a week in the city has been recovered.

    Police said LaNay Thomas, 13, left her home last Saturday (7/20) around 7 p.m. and never came back. She was reported last seen at home in the area of Fenkell and Grand River on the city’s northwest side.

    Wednesday evening, police sent an update stating that she's been recovered. They didn't say where, and no further information was released.
