WARREN (WWJ) — Two men could spend the rest of their lives behind bars after being found guilty of a shooting and an armed robbery at a Warren dispensary last year.

Lavall Perkins of Detroit and Michael Graham of Eastpointe were convicted Friday on all counts related to the incident on June 9, 2023 at the Bring Me A Bag dispensary

Perkins, 64, and Graham, 48, were both found guilty of assault with intent to murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, all of which are life felonies. They were both charged as habitual third offenders.

On Friday, June 9, 2023, the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office says Perkins and an unidentified suspect “caused a disturbance” outside the dispensary and the other suspect fired shots through a glass door, hitting the victim.

The unidentified suspect then unlocked the door and shot at the victim again as he was retreating, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Perkins and the other suspect went inside the store and stole the safe before exiting to a waiting Chevy Tahoe, driven by Graham, who worked at the dispensary. Authorities did not say how much money was in the safe.

"These convictions affirm our community's commitment to holding those who commit violent crimes accountable. The jury's decision reflects the strength of the evidence and the courage of the victims who came forward. We hope this verdict brings some measure of closure to those affected by this senseless act of violence," Macomb County Prosecutor Pete Lucido said, per a press release.

Perkins and Graham were convicted after an eight-day trial in Macomb County Circuit Court. They are scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 16.

Officials did not say whether the unidentified suspect may still face charges in connection to the case.
