(WWJ) — A woman is in police custody after allegedly robbing three stores in twoMetro Detroit communities Wednesday night.

Around 8:40 p.m. on Sept. 4 West Bloomfield police got a call from an employee at the Twin Beach Market on Green Lake Road saying a woman had walked into the store with a pistol and robbed him for cash.

The employee said the woman acted alone in the robbery.

A short time later police got a couple other 911 calls from businesses in West Bloomfield and Orchard Lake concerning other armed robberies that had just happened. Authorities believed it was the same woman from the first robbery, based on descriptions from the 911 callers.

One call came from the CVS on Maple Road near the roundabout at Farmington Road, with the caller saying the woman fired at least two shots.

West Bloomfield officers came across the woman a short time later in the CVS parking lot and she was taken into custody.

West Bloomfield police officials did not release specific details about the incident that happened in Orchard Lake.

Authorities believe the woman acted alone and there are no other suspects or danger to the public. There are no known injuries related to the robberies, according to police.

The woman’s name and age have not been released, pending further investigation and arraignment.

Authorities are asking anyone who knows something about the robberies in West Bloomfield to call Detective Phil Pacheco at (248) 975-8905.

Anyone with information about the Orchard Lake robberies is asked to call Detective Michael Clement at (248) 682-2400.

Once the investigation has concluded, a warrant request will be sent to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.
