    1. Birmingham Street Art Fair

    Common Ground’s Birmingham Street Art Fair is celebrating its 50th anniversary and will take place this weekend in and around Shain Park. The park is surrounded by convenient parking for artists and fairgoers and within easy access to the many unique stores and fabulous restaurants of Downtown Birmingham – favorites of the upscale shoppers and residents throughout Oakland County and beyond. This highly respected event will showcase 100 juried artists in an elegant and extraordinary setting and is ranked # 91 in the Fine Art and Design Category in Sunshine Artist!

    Saturday, Sept. 28 - Sunday, Sept. 29 at Shain Park in Downtown Birmingham

    2. Blake's Backyard Fall Night Market

    Join Blake’s for an unforgettable evening at the very first Blake's Backyard Fall Night Market! Stroll through the cozy market, explore unique vendors offering handmade goods, enjoy live music on the patio, and indulge in delicious food and drink specials from a brand new menu. It’s the perfect way to spend a crisp fall night! Bring your four-legged friends — they’re more than welcome to join in on the fun!

    Friday, Sept. 27 from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Blake’s Backyard in Almont

    3. Fire and Flannel Festival

    Warm up for fall with the Fire and Flannel Festival this weekend in Downtown Wyandotte. The festival will have fun for everyone, including a carnival, dancing witches, live chainsaw carvings, Jack Pine Lumberjack shows from Mackinac Island, axe throwing, glass blowing, a bar, and live music! Everyone is encouraged to wear flannel shirts for the seasonal occasion. Food trucks and fall crafters will also line Maple Street between Biddle & the Yack Arena.

    Thursday, Sept. 26 - Sunday, Sept. 29 in Downtown Wyandotte

    4. Clawson Fall Festival

    The Clawson Fall Festival in Clawson City Park has been celebrated annually for 20 years! This fun fall festival for the whole family returns on Saturday, Sept. 28 to bring the community more good times and great memories now that autumn has officially arrived. Head to Clawson Park to enjoy hayrides, an artisan market, food trucks, live music, kids activities, local nonprofit booths, a cider & donut tent, and the Clawson Fire Department's bonfire event!

    5. Smoketoberfest

    Smoketoberfest returns for its third installment this weekend at Batch Brewing Company in Detroit to bring you more delicious BBQ and amazing live music! On Friday and Saturday, there will be DJs and bands performing original music, so come for the tunes and stay for the food and beer. This year is slated to be the biggest yet, with an incredible food menu to match. Expect some of the best menu items that have been featured on the Yellow Dog Craft BBQ menus throughout the year.
