(WWJ) — Authorities are searching for a pair of young Michigan brothers believed to be in danger.

Michigan State Police officials say 6-year-old Sebastian Rodriguez and 2-year-old Theodore Zurawic were last in the custody of their parents, Noel Schmidt and Nathan Rodriguez.

There is a court order for the parents to turn the children over to the custody of the MDHHS’ Children’s Protective Services.

The boys were last seen in Midland and MSP officials believe they may be traveling in a white Jeep and could be headed for California.

While officials said the boys are likely in danger, no other details surrounding the case were disclosed.

MSP Lt. Kim Vetter told WWJ Newsradio 950 this is a “sensitive case.”

“We are looking out for the best interest of the children and making sure that we are doing the safest thing for these children,” Vetter said.

She told WWJ police have “received investigative information” that leads us to believe the parents and the children may be headed to California, but they’re still asking Michiganders to be on the lookout.

“That doesn’t mean that they’re not still in the area preparing to leave or that they have given some false information that might make people think they were leaving for California, so we encourage people to keep an eye out for them,” Vetter said.

Authorities have not yet released photos or a description of the parents.

Officials are asking anyone who has seen Sebastian and Theodore or their parents or knows something about their whereabouts to call 911 or the MSP Tri-City Post at 989-495-5555.

I'd have to have pretty clear cut evidence that the boys were in danger before I'd report where they were, if I saw them, to this government csd agency. Too many children have been snatched from their homes by these csd agencies for non justifiable reasons and ended up dead or missing or permanently damaged.
