    Police say 14-year-old girl who went missing in Detroit over the weekend has been recovered

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 14-year-old girl who disappeared from her Detroit home over the weekend has been located.

    Detroit Police had asked for tips in the case of Daeona Kingston, who left her home in the area of Hubbell Ave. and Puritan without permission on Sept. 28, and was reported missing when she didn't return.

    On Wednesday, Oct. 2, police sent an update stating that the teen has been recovered.

    Police did not say where the teen was found, and no further details were released.
