    Lincoln Park man dies in crash involving three commercial trucks on I-275 in Wayne County

    PLYMOUTH TWP. (WWJ) — A Lincoln Park man died in a crash involving a cement truck, box truck and semi on I-275 in Wayne County.

    The crash happened around 3:10 p.m. on Friday, October 11th, along northbound I-275 near Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth Township.

    In a statement on X; Michigan State Police Second District said the cement truck driver, 59, could not stop before he struck the rear of a box truck. The force of the hit pushed the box truck into a semi.

    Diesel fuel, concrete and tar spilled on the highway; State Police said.

    The fire department removed the driver from the cement truck. They rushed him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    No other injuries were reported.

    Troopers notified the man's family. His name was not released. Investigators are awaiting on the medical examiner's report.

    The freeway reopened nine hours later, at 12:05 a.m. on Saturday.
