DETROIT (WWJ) — Police are asking for help tracking down two men wanted for a shooting on Detroit’s northwest side early Thursday morning.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 10 in the 18900 block of Biltmore, near 7 Mile and the Southfield Freeway, according to Detroit police.

Officials say a 53-year-old man had gotten into some type of altercation with two men. At some point during the altercation he was shot.

The suspects took off in a gray Nissan Versa or Sentra, according to police.

DPD on Friday afternoon released a photo of the suspect’s car at a gas station. While it was not immediately clear if the shooting happened at the gas station, an Exxon station is located at the corner of Biltmore and 7 Mile.

Authorities have not said what sparked the altercation.

Police describe one suspect as a man with medium complexion and short braids or locs. The other suspect is described as a man with dark complexion and short braids or locs.

No other information about the suspects was released.

Officials said the victim was being treated at a local hospital for his injury, but his condition was not disclosed.

Authorities are asking anyone who knows something about the shooting to call the Detroit Police Department’s 8th Precinct at 313-596-5840.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or on the DetroitRewards.tv website.
