Badly decomposed body found in the Rouge River in Wayne

DEVELOPING NEWS — An investigation is underway after a body was found in the Rouge River.

Authorities speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950 confirmed that a body was discovered Wednesday night in the river, behind the City Hall building in the City of Wayne.

The source said the body was badly decomposed.

No other information has been released at this time regarding the identity of the person, or the circumstances under which the remains were found.

Officials said more information about this case is forthcoming on Thursday.
