Went through a very similar situation in a different area, but my bill wasn't thousands. Water company blamed us and refused to own up to the mistake. They silently credited the account with the overpayment, so we were relieved that it was finally fixed. I'm so glad it finally got corrected for this sweet lady. 🙏🏼💛
