UPDATE from OPCD 8:46 p.m.: AT&T and T-Mobile report issue has been resolved with some of their customers not being able to reach 9-1-1 services in areas impacted by Hurricane Francine.

Orleans Parish Communications District/New Orleans 9-1-1 services are fully online and able to receive calls. Our communications center is fully staffed and continues 24/7 operation.

Cell phone customers who use T-Mobile and AT&T are having difficulty calling 911 in New Orleans, the Orleans Parish Communications District reports.

"T-Mobile and AT&T customers across several parishes are apparently having trouble with those systems," said OPCD spokesman Jay Vise.

An AT&T representative tells WWL First News that a tower went down, and that is causing trouble for people who connect via that tower.

In the meantime, OPCD says New Orleans residents having trouble reaching 911 can call (504) 671-3600 to be connected to a 911 operator.

He said the 911 center is fully staffed and taking calls.
