Taking a look at power restoral for St. Tamany, St. Mary, and all CLECO customers

Fran Phoenix, CLECO Communications Strategist, say they hit the ground running and had all but about six thousand customers restored on day one of restoral.

She says the bulk of the work left is in St Mary Parish that was hit hard as Hurricane Francine made landfall.

With only a few hundred St Tammany Parish residents left without power at time of publishing, she feels confident in a full restoral soon.

One hinderance to restoral is the damage that happens to service providing equipment. High winds can cause damage to polls and wires.

Phoenix says they are assessing that damage as well and so far have found over sixty broken polls and a downed wire.
