Police investigate deadly Saturday shooting in 7th Ward

New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting at the intersection of Touro St. and N. Derbigny.

Police around 1 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in that location.

"On arrival, they found a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. ," said police in a statement. "New Orleans EMS confirmed the victim was deceased."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
