Central City hit & run kills 1

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident that happened late Friday.

Police say shortly after 10:30 p.m., an unidentified man walked into traffic and was struck near S. Claiborne Ave. and Thalia St.

New Orleans EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said investigators are still working to find out more about the vehicle involved and are asking for help from anyone who might have witnessed the crash or otherwise has information.
