Crescent City Connection reopens after hours-long shutdown

All lanes of the Crescent City Connection headed towards Algiers reopened around 3 p.m. after a late-morning crash snarled traffic for hours.

A dump truck ended up on its side and other vehicles were also involved, according to Louisiana State Police.

The crash happened on the downslope of the bridge headed towards the Westbank Expressway.

Minor injuries were reported.

People in this city drive way too fast …no accountability on the bridge …matter of fact , on the same day as this accident early in the am, there was a similar crash right after the high rise …it was multiple cars that were severely messed up ….smh…you can basically do whatever you want on the bridge : no cameras , no law enforcement, nothing …
