99 Restaurant in West Springfield hosting ‘Tip a Cop’ fundraiser to support Special Olympics

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Local law enforcement officers will take part in the “Tip a Cop” fundraiser at the 99 Restaurant in West Springfield.

This Saturday night officers are teaming up to raise funds for the Special Olympics. Officers from surrounding areas and the Sheriff’s Department will serve as “celebrity waiters” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and greet customers.

Donations will be collected that will go towards Special Olympics Massachusetts . It will help fund their efforts by providing gear for and transportation to their sporting events. More than 14,000 athletes participate in over 450 sporting competitions every year.
