    Dog found tied to highway guardrail in Connecticut

    NAUGATUCK, CT. (WWLP) – Police in Connecticut are looking for the person who left a dog tied to a guardrail on a busy highway.

    Shelter in place order lifted for Enfield neighborhood

    According to Connecticut State Police, a young, malnourished German Shepherd was found tied to a guardrail on Route 8 in Naugatuck late Sunday night. The dog was wearing a prong collar and had no food or water.

    Animal Control Officials said he was “skin and bones.” He was taken to the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control shelter to be looked at.

    Anyone who might have information about who abandoned this dog is urged to contact Woodbridge Regional Animal Control at (203) 389-5991.
