SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – From winning “best dressed’ in high school, to now a self-taught fashion designer, Chayce Manning is known for his one-of-a-kind outfits.

Born and raised in Springfield, Chayce has always lived by one motto, “Imagine yourself walking down a runway. Like that’s like the best advice I can give, because like you can’t like think about what anybody else has to say.”

“These shorts are custom-made. I literally cut them up from two pairs of jeans and I used the rest to make this bag actually,” shared Chayce.

Chayce’s creative process started from scratch just two years ago. He began working out of his bedroom and to this day cuts and sews everything he wears by hand.

“The clothes actually, make me confident,” said Chayce.

Some of his most proud items took over 7 hours to create.

Chayce not only designs clothes to make people feel good physically but also advocates for mental health.

Earlier this year, Chayce launched his brand ‘Tajair’, which includes items of clothing inspired by Buddhist practices, sharing gestures of enlightenment, compassion, and energy.

At only 20 years old, this designer hopes his work will inspire others to express themselves in what they wear.
