New Bedford resident wins $1 million lottery prize

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WWLP) – A New Bedford woman has become the latest winner of the Massachusetts State Lottery, claiming a $1 million prize in the popular “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.

The winner chose to receive her prize as a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. She expressed her excitement about the win, stating that she plans to use her winnings to invest in her home.

The winning ticket was purchased at Belleville Discount Gas, located at 535 Belleville Ave. in New Bedford. As a result of selling the winning ticket, the store will receive a $10,000 bonus from the Massachusetts State Lottery.
