Marcotte Ford donates Lugnutz Cafe celebrity chef proceeds to TJO animal shelter

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A local car dealership is pitching in to support a local animal welfare agency.

Marcotte Ford presented T.J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center with a check for $1,000 to support their mission to help animals in our area. Last Wednesday, Marcotte Ford held one of their fundraising events at their Lugnutz Cafe.

Ed Brown of New York Sound and Motion and Greg Guertin, a teacher at Chicopee Comprehensive, put on their aprons and competed.

“Lugnutz Cafe, located at Marcotte Ford, has a celebrity chef every month come into the dealership, they pick a menu item that they want to serve to the customers, and for every order placed, $2 is donated to their charity of choice,” said Suzanne Marcotte, marketing Director at Marcotte Ford.

The competitors were serving ribs and kielbasa in the competition and around 100 people stopped by for some food. Marcotte said it is important to them to be involved and help their community.
