Five-vehicle crash in Plainville leaves several injured

PLAINVILLE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Plainville Police and Fire Department were called to a serious multi-vehicle crash on Route 1 on Saturday night.

According to the Plainville Fire Department, when paramedics arrived at 8:30 p.m., they discovered a five-vehicle crash with several people who were injured. Seven ambulances from the Plainville, North Attleboro, Wrentham, Foxboro, Mansfield, and Franklin fire departments, were called to assist in treating those who were injured and taking them to area hospitals.

One juvenile was taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro for their injuries. An additional three juveniles were taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence with injuries. Three adults were taken to the Trauma Center at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with serious injuries.

The status of those injured is unknow at this time. The cause of the crash is being investigated. 22News will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available
