HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Holyoke Police Department is warning residents of an ongoing money scheme taking place throughout the city’s parking garages.

According to the Holyoke Police Department, signs have been placed at the Suffolk Street and Dwight Street parking garage locations, stating that there is a $20 parking fee and that the payment should be made through Cash App. It also asks for a license plate number when sending the money.

These signs have no affiliation with the city and payments should not be made through Cash App to the person listed on the signs. The only way to pay to park in Holyoke is through a meter or the ParkMobile app.

If you have information on who placed the signs in the parking garages, contact the Holyoke Police Department at 413-322-6900 or their anonymous tip line at (413) 533-8477.
