Three people hurt in crash involving tractor trailer on Mass Pike in Blandford

BLANDFORD, Mass. (WWLP) – A crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike in Blandford involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle led to delays on the westbound side of the highway.

According to Massachusetts State Police, one person was temporarily trapped following the crash, which was reported at around noontime Monday. That person was safely removed from their vehicle and was taken to the hospital, as were two other people. There was no immediate word on the severity of their injuries.

Fuel spilled from the tractor-trailer following the crash. As a result, the left-hand lane of the highway was shut down as cleanup was underway. Traffic was getting by on the right travel lane.
