Golf marathon to help cancer research held in Chicopee

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The ‘Ken O’Neill Dawn to Dusk Golf Marathon’ in Chicopee was held on Monday.

It’s the 25th anniversary of Ken O’Neill Dawn to Dusk Golf Marathon and the community gathered at the Chicopee Country Club for a good cause. This marathon benefits the Jimmy Fund which supports the fight against cancer, cancer care, and research at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Participants played golf in memory of loved ones who lost their lives to the disease. This year’s marathon featured guest golfers who have been honored over the years .

The festivities did not stop at the golf course, they continued in South Hadley with the 109th Hole Reception at The Boathouse where there was live entertainment, food, and a silent auction.
