    Springfield man arrested in Las Vegas on 6 warrants including armed carjacking

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A suspect wanted on six arrest warrants, including armed carjacking in Springfield, was caught in Las Vegas.

    According to the Springfield Police Department, an arrest warrant for 22-year-old David Clark of Springfield was granted for his alleged role in an armed carjacking in Springfield. The incident occurred in May 2023 in the area of Merrimac Avenue and Nottingham Street. Police say Clark allegedly had a gun and a motorcycle was stolen during a carjacking.

    On Friday, Clark was held at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas and was taken into custody by a Springfield Police Detective along with a Massachusetts Police Trooper. He was brought back to Massachusetts and booked on charges at the Springfield Police Headquarters.

      – Firearm-Armed Carjacking
      – Armed & Masked Robbery
      – Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
    • Arrest Warrant
      – Assault & Battery on a Police Officer (Two Counts)
      – Resisting Arrest
      – Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle
      – Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
      – Reckless Operation of a Snow/Recreational Vehicle
      – Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
    • Arrest Warrant
      – Resisting Arrest
      – False ID Information
    • Arrest Warrant
      – Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
      – Failure to Stop for Police
      – Number Plate Violation
      – Receiving Stolen Property
    • Arrest Warrant
      – Breaking and Entering into a Building – Nighttime for a Felony
      – Vandalize Property
