Labor Day weekend events in western Mass.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – If you’re not heading out of town this holiday weekend, several events are happening right here in western Massachusetts.

Blunt Park in Springfield is hosting the annual Stone Soul Festival this weekend, celebrating African-American culture and community with music, food, and joy. The Stone Soul Festival Parade will happen Saturday stepping off at 9 a.m. from Rebecca Johnson Elementary School and ends with a celebration at Blunt Park, where festivities will continue throughout the weekend.

Festa kicked off Thursday in Ludlow, celebrating the area’s Portuguese culture with a five-day long festival at Our Lady of Fatima Parish. You can enjoy music, rides, traditional foods, and more!

The Three County Fair begins in Northampton, said to be the oldest continuously-running fair in the nation in its 207th year. The fair features rides, food, agricultural competitions, and performances.

Blandford’s 155th town fair begins Friday as well. Gates open at 8 am every day until Monday.
