Oxbow Water Ski Show Team hosts fundraiser for fellow skier who competes in Northampton

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – The Oxbow Water Ski Show Team is asking for help this weekend after a fellow skier who competes in Northampton took a hard crash at a national tournament a few weeks ago.

Pete Hegarty is now recovering in the hospital after suffering a serious brain injury. Just a month ago, Pete was in Northampton competing with his team at a national tournament. He is a premier jumper and is known to be one of the best skiers in the world.

The Oxbow Water Ski Show team will host a benefit show this upcoming Saturday at the Oxbow Water Ski Facility in Northampton at 1 p.m. All donations will go towards Pete and his family as his road to recovery continues.
