Chicopee ice cream shop gaining national attention

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)- An ice cream shop in Chicopee has gained national attention both in-person and over social media.

Roger’s place, has been up and running in Chicopee for 60 years.

It’s been under new ownership for more than 20 years, and the current owner says she used to walk there to get ice cream when she was a child.

She even got her first job there at 12-years-old.

“We have people that come from New York even down South. The bombs are a core filled ice cream cone. Some of the favorites cheesecake, churro bomb and fried dough. I come up with them basically daily and what inspires me is that their basically just desserts that I turn into ice cream cones and its wonderful I mean I come from a family of cooks and bakers so this is pretty much my passion”, says Catherine Westley, Owner of Roger’s Place.
