WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Officers with the West Springfield Police Department completed active shooter training.

The department shared photos of the annual event that took place on Wednesday. The officers used proper equipment, instructors, and role players for realistic training conditions. The mass shooting at a high school in Georgia serves as a reminder of how crucial these exercises are.
