A ribbon ceremony unveiled Ted Plumb Stadium at 6:00 p.m., and Commerce and Putnam will share the field in the years to come.

“It means a lot he put in 35 years of his career coaching the kids of Springfield and were very proud of him and were very appreciative of this field”, says Jimmy Plumb, Ted Plumb’s son.

Student-athletes are looking forward to the new opportunities on the field. Coach Plumb’s friends and family along with local, state, and federal officials were all in attendance to honor and celebrate his legacy.
