    The 175th annual Franklin County Fair continues in Greenfield

    GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The 175th annual Franklin County Fair continues this weekend in Greenfield.

    Freedom Credit Union to host free Community Shred Days for unwanted paperwork

    The fair is one of the largest in western Massachusetts and features live musical performances, food, rides, agricultural competitions, and more. There will even be a chance for the kids to see and play with some of the animals.

    Gates open at 8:00 a.m., with cattle shows beginning at 9:00 a.m., horse pulls at 10:30 a.m., family shows in the Infield Entertainment Area, and more. There will even be a hot dog eating contest at 3:45 p.m. The Midway opens at noon with a $35 ride special all day.

    Free parking is available at the Greenfield Parking Garage, with a shuttle running from noon to 9:00 p.m. Fair officials expect nearly 15,000 visitors by the time the fair comes to a close Sunday night.
