    Amherst welcomes Black Roots Folk Festival hosted by 80 Acres

    AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – The Town of Amherst will be holding its Black Roots Festival on Sunday in the town common.

    According to 80 Acres, the host of the event, this festival will feature live musical performances, delicious food, and vibrant crafts. This is a chance for attendees to celebrate the rich heritage of Black music and culture. The schedule for the event is as follows:

    • 12:00:00 PM- Welcome
    • 12:15:00 PM- Story Time With Dr. Tolson
    • 12:45:00 PM- Break DJs and Announcements
    • 12:55:00 PM- Evelyn Harris and Friends
    • 1:10:00 PM- Brooks Dedication
    • 1:15:00 PM- Jazz Quintet
    • 2:00:00 PM- Maria Del Carmen – Sound Healing North Common
    • 2:30:00 PM- Back in Time
    • 3:00:00 PM- Break DJs and Announcements
    • 3:15:00 PM- Youth Step Alive
    • 3:40:00 PM- Aimee Salmon
    • 3:45:00 PM- Sanaa
    • 3:50:00 PM- Break DJs and Announcements
    • 4:00:00 PM- Maria Del Carmen – Sound Healing North Common
    • 4:00:00 PM- Tjovi Ginen Band
    • 4:45:00 PM- Break DJs and Announcements
    • 5:00:00 PM- Lost Tribe

    The schedule is subject to change with a rain location of Amherst Regional Middle School.
