Three arrested after trespasing old Russell mill building

RUSSELL, Mass. (WWLP) – Three people were arrested on Wednesday in Russell for trespassing an old mill building.

Montgomery and Russell Police Departments were called to the old Strathmore Mill on Valley View Ave last Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. for a call of trespassing inside the mill building. When authorities arrived, they discovered three people hiding out inside. They were later arrested and taken into custody.

The individuals were charged with criminal trespass and were arraigned in Westfield District Court on Thursday. The identities of the three individuals have not yet been released.

This serves as a reminder to the public that Strathmore Mills is private property, as six people have already been arrested on the property for trespassing.
