InFocus: September is National Recovery Month

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)–National Recovery Month has been commemorated every September since 1989.

The effort brings attention to the work of the recovery community and highlights treatment and substance abuse recovery practices.

This week on 22News InFocus we’ll be talking about what’s being done in our region, and the state, to support prevention and treatment, as well as resources for those seeking help.

Additionally, we’ll be discussing Suicide Prevention Month, which is also recognized in September.
