RAYNHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Police investigated rumors about an alleged threat made toward Raynham Middle School over the weekend.

Crash investigation closed Franklin Street in Westfield

According to the Raynham Police Department, an email was sent to Bridgewater-Raynham school officials from a parent concerned about a possible threat made to the middle school.

Detectives spoke to multiple students and parents and determined that there were no credible threats to Raynham Middle School or any students. The rumors originated from a student Snapchat group.

No charges or citations have been filed, and all matters related to the investigation will now be handled by the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District. An increased police presence will be at Bridgewater-Raynham schools this week out of an abundance of caution.
