    New Clydesdales to debut at The Big E Fair

    WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The iconic Clydesdales at The Big E Fair will be back however they will be from a different stable.

    Barry Farm in Lakeville, Mass. are retiring from The Big E after 50 years of bringing their Hallamore Clydesdales to the fair, according to the Eastern States Exposition. They will be honored on Saturday, September 28th at 3 p.m. in Farm-A-Rama.

    To fill the stables, Clydesdales Kramer, Ritz, Bridget, Levi, Nick, Thatcher, Carl, and Harley from Hobby Knoll Stables of Duxbury, Massachusetts will be new to the fairgrounds this year. The family-owned farm has been in business for more than 20 years.

    “It’s a big undertaking,” Andrea Anderson of Hobby Knoll Stables said. “We have huge shoes to fill, and we are aware of that. We are going to try our hardest and do our best.”

    Fairgoers will be able to greet the horses daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in Farm-A-Rama. They will also participate in The Big Parade with the high school marching bands, specialty floats, antique vehicles, performance groups, and more every day at 6 p.m.

    The Budweiser Clydesdales will join The Big E Fair in 2025 alongside Hobby Knoll Stables. The Budweiser Clydesdales have visited the fair every two years for thirty years.
