    Gas prices drop below $3 per gallon in western Massachusetts

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Some gas prices in western Massachusetts are below three dollars a gallon.

    Mega Millions jackpot at $800-million

    According to AAA, just in Springfield, gas prices are lower by 18 cents per gallon compared to last month.

    In Springfield, the cheapest gas can be found at Costco for $2.87 a gallon. Some drivers are thrilled to be saving a few extra dollars at the pump. Jose Maldonado of West Springfield told 22News, “I love that gas is going down okay different gas stations is $2.99, it’s great.”

    Statewide the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.26.
