CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The state police featured a playing card on social media Wednesday with the unsolved case of a Chicopee victim.

Seven years ago, on September 11, 2017, members of the Chicopee Department of Public Works found Jafet Robles ‘s body in Szot Park in Chicopee. He had a gunshot wound in the back.

“Someone knows something. Jafet’s family deserves answers,” said the Massachusetts State Police Unresolved Case Unit .

If you have any information that could be crucial to solving this case, you are asked to call 1-855-MA-SOLVE.

The Massachusetts State Police Department, the Massachusetts Department of Correction, and the District Attorney’s Offices collaborated to create playing cards that feature homicide and missing persons on them.

The cards are funded by the Department of Correction and are made available to state prison inmates. With this, they hope that they will be able to find out additional information about the crimes on the cards.

the streets know more than the police do....he went to meet some one to sell them some weed....that person robbed then shot him...obviously from the way it happend the person must live in the area rite next to the park or at least used to..I would start by looking at whoever moved from the neighborhood withing a 5month to 2 year span and go from there...but thays just me thinking like a logical human

It’s a darn travesty how murder cases can go without resolutions or sense of peace. I pray someday his family can find peace.
